About Isabella Ambrosio

After spending my time in student journalism, always seeming to stick to the news that no one really cared about – soft news – I simultaneously got used to the rush and comforting of working in this industry. With the world in the state that it is, and at the speed that journalism must operate at – everyone is constantly 'on' and aware of what's going on; soft news has become more vital now than ever to help balance the out the bad with the good, and at times, celebrate those good things. With just under two years as a freelance music journalist, I have landed an internship with UK magazine, Kerrang!, had work featured in Alternative Press, Business Insider, Kerrang! and New Noise. Always considering the most human and innate thing that music aims to create – connection – when reporting whether it comes to reviews, interviews, or features, I take pride in trying to 'bring humanity back to journalism.' Growing up fatigued of political propaganda and developing in a time of mis- and dis-information, my one goal as a journalist is to connect people to something that can verbalise how they're feeling. Music. However, in a time like this, I can't be just a journalist. So, I've worked as a social media manager, a public relations assistant, and have versed myself in a variety of skills to provide journalism companies with the one thing they're looking for in a time of crisis: a solution.
