At Elsevier I was responsible for Life Science databases of Elsevier in APAC. My territory includes India, Singapore Australia & New Zealand. In my role as a Product Specialist Manager I use to identify the plausible clientele for the database and target the new business opportunity for the company. Understand the client workflows and accordingly suggest the client a suitable product in accordance with the research flows. I was involved in product demos/webex for the clients. In my role of technical sales manager I was acting as a bridge b/w the technical people in the client side and the sales team of Elsevier. My technical specialties helped in gaining the numbers for the company. In addition I use to provide the first line customer support to the clients as well.

I did my Phd at Defence Institute on “Studies on synthesis and occupational hazards of tear gas compounds”.During the course, a number of compounds were synthesized, purified and characterized. Synthesis was performed applying the concepts of green chemistry (environmentally benign processes) utilizing water as a medium for organic reactions, microwave irradiation, sonication During the course work I also synthesized some polymers to study the occupational hazards of tear gas compounds into those polymers. The purpose of this was design improved protective gears against tear gas compounds. Outcome of my work led to “greener/ environmentally benign” methods for tear gas compounds. Environmentally benign methods for the decontamination of tear gas compounds were also explored. I have got 5 International publications and 1 Patent to my credit during this period.
