Juris Doctor (J.D.) Candidate
Washington D.C. Metro Area
While at Georgetown I completed the first year Curriculum B, which involved exploring the theoretical underpinnings of typical first year courses in addition to the black letter law. I went on to serve as a Street Law Teacher as a second year law student (2L), and was selected after a highly competitive application process to join the International Women's Human Rights Clinic that same year. Aside from academics, as a 1L I was elected to serve as a delegate to the Student Bar Association (SBA), in which capacity I successfully lobbied for the passage of a Resolution to Improve Diversity and Inclusion at the Georgetown University Law Center, which, among other things, advocated for increased economic support of incoming and matriculating students from disadvantaged backgrounds by the school's Administration. After, I continued cultivating my leadership acumen as a 2L SBA delegate, Attorney General of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) (2016-2017), and finally as President of the Women of Color Collective (WoCC) and Administrative Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Law and Modern Critical Race Perspectives (MCRP) during the 2017-2018 academic year.Upon graduating, I was awarded the Dean's Certificate and the National Association of Women Lawyers' Outstanding Law Student of the Year Award for 2018.
