As a facilities director, I believe that strong internal and external partnerships are equally as important as top-notch, safe buildings and grounds. With a background in property management and maintenance oversight, I manage multimillion-dollar project portfolios and maintain positive, productive relationships with all stakeholders.Creative problem solving is my forte and helping each stakeholder, from Boards of Directors to tenants and vendors, see the benefits of unique solutions has decreased expenses and increased property values. I did exactly this as Director of Facilities for Thayer & Associates’ Parris Landing Condominium, a 1M-square-foot, 367-condo property. During my time there, I identified and pursued projects that enhanced curb appeal, renewed residents’ sense of community, fixed safety hazards, consolidated contracts, and negotiated cost savings. Walking facilities and grounds, gaining insight into tenant needs, and creating forums for employees to go above and beyond are key components of my leadership style. I intercept potential risks in their infancy by leaving my desk, examining the plant, and investigating client concerns.
