In my current position, I assist several healthcare providers, most often in our neurology and pain management departments. I am responsible for triaging patients by recording vitals and patient histories, after which the information is relayed to providers and input into the EHR. In the neurology department, I deliver The Standardized Assessment of Concussion (SAC) and report results to the provider. In the pain management department, I efficiently operate the C-Arm during in-office procedures and sterilize procedure tools via autoclave. Additional duties include maintaining an updated inventory, reording supplies, billing for patient visits, dispensing ordered medications from the onsite CUBEX, and answering phone calls from patients and their attorneys. I make sure to provide excellent bedside manner and actively listed to patient concerns to ensure their satisfaction.
