I was responsible for leading and performing internal audits relating to the manufacturing process and reporting upon the effectiveness of internal controls. These included areas such as Fixed Assets and Capitalization, Payroll, Human Resource Management, Plant Safety and Security, Inventory, Logistics, etc. Additionally, I was responsible for understanding the company's vision and suggesting recommendations to assist the company perform its processes more effectively and efficiently. I was responsible for monitoring the company's compliance to internal policies and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. I performed monthly loan review and compliance audits, maintained exception and tracking reports and assisted loan officer's with lending and compliance questions.. All findings were reported to the board of directors. (South Branch Valley Bancorp was renamed Summit Financial Group, Inc.)

I implemented an in-house loan review system. I assisted in writing policy for future reference, reorganized loan files and monitored documentation and compliance issues.
