Custom Photo Image Libraries - I started Archiva to fulfill several needs both of my clients and my own. For my clients, it is a way to use their company, it's people, equipment and locations to promote their company. In addition, by having a custom image library at their fingertips, it is a way to avoid using the same tired, overused stock images that their competition is using.For me it was the desire to "tell the whole story" of a particular corporation or business, not just a single shot of the CEO (not that there is anything wrong with those opportunities).

Leading by example, come what may.

In my time at Youth Arts Corps, the students and I worked from the ground up, literally. We started with small observations of light, texture, and composition in very small areas - such as a patch of grass or a set of pipes, then worked our way to the BIG picture. Technically, these incredible kids went from wonder to ability, from the sunlight to the darkroom & back again. Together we learned from each other about our neighbors, our surroundings and ourselves.

I worked with my mentor photographer Chris Coxwell in the production and creation of photographic images for her clients.

As one of Mike Norton, Fred Arledge and Chris Coxwell's assistants, I was responsible for assisting on photo shoots, organizing and cleaning the studio and getting Mike's lunch - 25 years later, I can still tell you how he liked his sandwiches dressed - Mustard, Lettuce and Tomato
