  • Red Lobster
    Certified Professional (Manager)
    Red Lobster May 2006 - Mar 2014
I began as a server and bartender. After exceeding all sales goals and incentives, I was promoted up to a trainer. I trained other servers and bartenders on all aspects of the job - customer service, working smarter (service trails), upselling, and being a brand ambassador. After a short time as a trainer, I moved in to a management role - I was certified in every position of the restaurant and would rotate between being the kitchen manager and the front-of-house manager on duty. This meant I was responsible for overseeing schedules, customer service issues, performing inventory audits, financial reports, being present for guests and employees in times of need, and ensuring that every guest had a memorable experience from the time they walked in until the time they left. Sometimes this required creative problem-solving to overcome dissatisfied dining experiences.
