• Work with brand and marketing teams and external agencies on creative projects and production of advertising and marketing collateral to assess intellectual property issues, & determine vendors have obtained necessary rights, licenses, permissions, & clearances for use of third party-owned content.• Prepare, negotiate, and manage legal documents required for third party production of creative assets, advertising, & marketing collateral including copyright assignments, location releases, talent/model consent releases, expert releases & licenses, and track resulting creative deliverables.• Review & advise brand and marketing teams regarding stock video, photo, & music licenses to confirm advertising and marketing needs are met within licensing limitations.• Partner closely with brand and marketing teams during development of creative assets, advertising, marketing collateral, & social media content to ensure compliance with advertising law, FTC guidelines, influencer guidelines and company policies.• Provide advice & guidance regarding brand contests and sweepstakes; and review, revise, and finalize official rules for same.• Review, advise upon, & approve all advertising, marketing collateral, social media posts, & special promotions/coupons prior to public release.• Conduct in-house preliminary trademark searches on Saegis® platform to preliminarily clear new brand names, product names, taglines, slogans, & hashtags for consideration by brand & marketing teams.• Address trademark & copyright infringement matters on e-commerce platforms; prepare and submit to online retailers take-down notices & requests for removal of infringing products & product listings, & work with online retailers to resolve such issues.• Investigate infringement & counterfeit matters to support trademark enforcement efforts.• Assist in the drafting of all licensing agreements.• Prepare & present to business & brand teams educational trademark/copyright workshops & presentations.

• Managed and maintained IP database and docket for worldwide trademark portfolio, including review and docketing of all U.S. and foreign communications and office actions.• Prepared and electronically filed all trademark documents with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, including new U.S. trademark applications, Madrid Protocol applications, Section 8&15 Affidavits, Sections 8&9 Affidavits, Statements of Uses, Extensions of Time, Requests to Divide and assignments and other documentation.• Worked with attorney on preparation and filing of responses to Office Actions with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.• Corresponded and worked with foreign associates with respect to trademark prosecution, renewals and enforcement matters.• Reviewed trademark watch notices and worked with attorney in determining whether opposition and cancellation actions were required, and correspond with foreign associates regarding same.• Spearheaded internal educational efforts to educate and train business and brand teams regarding proper trademark use and the concept of genericness of brands, and developed messaging and creative materials to explain the issue.• Worked with brand and marketing teams from project conception through completion of creative assets to identify intellectual property issues and provide guidance with respect to trademark use and copyrightable subject matter.• Prepared copyright assignments and other documents including location releases and model/talent releases, and track resulting creative deliverables.• Reviewed, advised upon, and approved all product packaging for owned brands and partner brands to ensure compliance policies, proper trademark use and appropriate packaging legal lines.• Conducted and reviewed in-house trademark searches on Saegis® platform to preliminarily clear new brand names, product names, taglines, slogans, and hashtags under consideration by brand and marketing teams.

- Assist attorneys, paralegals and other more senior litigation support specialists with various matters.- Provide support to the case teams, including vendor management, and database management throughout the life of the case. - Manage the databases, including design, creation and maintenance, but to also oversee data acquisition and delivery to vendors, verify data integrity, import images, data and transcripts into the databases, export data, correct vendor errors, and reformat\convert data. - Prepare documents for production to opposing counsel, assist in copying data from the network to trial servers, create LiveNote cases and users, create FTP accounts and upload and download files, and coordinate blowback requests, OCRing, PDF to Tiff conversions and vice versa with our Digital Service Department.
