Pump & Control Valve datasheet preparations.II. KNPC CLEAN FUELS PROJECT, Green Field.• Checking hydraulic calculations, Updating P&IDs based on Licensor/Client comments, & accordingly revised Line list, Equipment datasheets & IPDS (Instrumentation Process Datasheet).• Support to various engineering teams working at the site for queries/closure on punches.• Preparation of detailed Unit Commissioning Manuals as well as Unit Operating Manuals based on Licensor’s GOM for two Hydrocracker, Hydrocracker Flare & CCR units & concurrently addressing site queries.• Managing the effective issuance of Design Change Notice (DCN) for the whole project after checking, verifying and coordinating with all other engineering disciplines as a part of aligning the As-built construction on site with the Process and Vendor P&IDs.

I served in the New Technology & Intellectual Property (R&D) department directly under the guidance of Head-NT&IP leading a team of four person at DSP's Bussiness Unit-AMEA(Asia,Middle East & Africa) with key Responsibilities & Duties:• Implementing Process Development activities, identify critical parameters in manufacturing plants for the production of APIs;Analysing the pilot scale Development/Optimisation experimental data and analytical data;Reviewing Process Development Reports including the validation reports,P&IDs and PFDs.• Conducting PSA(Process Safety Analysis) studies as owner of the document following internal Guidelines for Site-1 including three Manufacturing plants, WWTP and a Biogas plant. PSA is the primary Safety Study which is conducted in the initial stages of any project, which is a prerequisite for further Safety Studies e.g.. HAZOP, HAC,SIL etc.;Preparing JSA(Job Safety Analysis);Member of HAZOP team.• Assisting the plant management team during plant troubleshooting,plant scale trials based on Process Development/Optimisation reports;Training of plant operatives on process changes. • Compliance to SHE and GMP guidelines.• Giving hands-on technical support to other Global BU(Especially,DSM-Delft,The Netherlands&DSP-China)whenever applicable,including trouble shooting assistance,suggestion of improvements as well as expert input during project scoping.• Work notification,Purchase requisition in SAP;Clearing Work Permits;Conducting IP Audits;Establish SOPs in EDMS.Apart from my responsibilities I got the two major opportunities:1. Life's first industrial visit to a Chemical Industry - NFL Bathinda.Gained understanding of the whole process being carried out for making the fertilizer, i.e., Urea. Some of the operations and equipment whose practical working was better understood includes:1. Processes like Carbon Capturing and Catalytic Reforming of NG, Air separation process, Shell & Tube Heat exchangers [in Ammonia and Urea plants]2. Boilers (Capacities of 150 and 230 ton steam/hr), Bowl mills, Economizer, Rotary air heater, Electrostatic precipitators[in Steam generation plant]3. Tricking Filters, Induced draft Cooling towers, Deionisation of water [in Offset & Utility Plant] National Fertilizers Limited (NFL), a Schedule ‘A’ & a Mini Ratna (Category-1) Company, having its registered office at New Delhi was incorporated on 23rd August 1974. Its Corporate Office is at NOIDA (U.P). It has an authorized capital of ₹1000 crore and a paid up capital of ₹ 490.58 crore out of which Government of India’s share is 90% and 10% is held by financial institutions & others.NFL has five gas based Urea plants viz Nangal & Bathinda in Punjab, Panipat in Haryana and two plants at Vijaipur in District Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The above plants at Panipat, Bathinda & Nangal which were earlier based on fuel oil (LSHS) have recently been converted on Natural Gas, an eco-friendly fuel.
