    Oculus for Business - Started the engineering effort for this 0→1 product. This was a cross-org, cross-company collaboration to bring VR devices into business environments. The product was focused on shared-device end-user training use cases for enterprise customers. I created the high-level architecture, hired, built and led the team and cross-functional teams to a) build a device-based backend graph (different but connected to the Facebook user-based social graph), b) an identity-less device mode in the VR operating system, c) a device fleet management portal integrated with Facebook’s Workplace product (similar to an MDM-lite portal). Worked across sales, marketing, customer support, developer support and operations management to deliver an end-to-end program. Launched the product in March 2020, and went through a few iterations based on customer and market data. With the change in market behavior focusing on remote work and collaboration, help drive a decision to revamp the model to a per-user productivity device. Federated (reorged) the team and the effort across all product teams within VR vs. a single vertical team. Used the learnings from the market to drive the vision for the next offering: Quest for Business.Quest for Business: Co-created a vision for bringing VR devices to businesses, with a focus on collaboration and prosumer use cases. Aligned the vision across pillar leads in different orgs, drafted a strategy and incremental roadmap based on the vision. Hired a spearhead team accountable for device management, and defined/managed work streams across multiple teams to begin executing on the strategy. Released three stages of closed beta trials with customers, reincorporated feedback and iterated on the product, and released an open beta to the public. Hired, set up and coached a leadership team to continue to drive the program forward - eventually graduated and moved the team to the MetaWorks organization to focus on enterprise use cases.

    As part of the Software Development Kit (SDK) for the Automata Processor (AP) team, I am working on the development of a new generation of advanced programmable semiconductor architectures. The Automata Processor is the first dedicated hardware coprocessor aimed at executing complex automata algorithms. The SDK is a complex code base which relies on disciplines such as ASIC/FPGA placement and route theory, graph algorithms, parsing, compiler theory, heuristics and automata theory. Part of my work and main responsibilities involve:• Development and maintenance of a full system AP simulator. The simulator has enabled the verification of many hardware and driver components, and has uncovered many potential failures in the hardware and driver. The simulator tool chain is currently used by several teams working on the AP project.• Development of new APIs for the SDK• Development of client side update service for automatic SDK updates• Development and maintenance of the full SDK stack, ranging from the compiler input parser, core compiler algorithms, and kernel level driver code• Active participation in requirement analysis and design of the next generation AP
