As a 15-year, non-profit veteran, I have helped over 6,000 individuals achieve their professional goal of certification in their dream field.I am a fervent believer in continuing education/adult learning; it can make dreams reality. This passion is born of my pursuit of education to achieve my own professional goals. I have relentlessly pursued CE to arm myself with what I needed to establish the credibility of the CCLS brand by bringing it into alignment with industry standards and best practices. At the Association of Child Life Professionals, formerly Child Life Council, I was consistently promoted and hand-picked for special projects. I am adept at using creative and critical thinking to analyze processes, make recommendations for improvement, and affect positive change. I have earned a reputation for team-building. I have experience as a manager/team leader having supervised staff from recruitment to evaluation. As a mentor to the staff whose work I oversee, I am generous and helpful, and I also encourage staff to have fun in their positions.With a great love of writing, I have experience in crafting everything from formal policy manuals to general correspondence of a sensitive or confidential nature, tailoring message and tone for the intended audience. I am sensitive to others and have an ability to hear not only what is being said, but also that which is silent.
