- Redesigning a commercial pulse oximeter with 6 undergraduate and graduate students to adjust for racial biases in blood oxygen saturation.- Researching how current devices often overestimate oxygen levels in individuals with darker skin tones and recalibrating our readings accordingly on Arduino and MATLAB.- Conducted interviews with faculty at the Alfred E. - Awarded a global fellowship position to represent USC to the greater network of universities around the world- Invited to attend the 2024 TOM Leadership Summit in Atlanta along with 70 other global fellows from various universities. Selected through an application and interview process to represent the LA region.- Advocates for rights to accessibility for those with disabilities and participates in workshops on inclusive and equitable design- Meets regularly with other fellows to design new, open-source, and customizable solutions for people with disabilities

- Developing open-source, assistive technologies for those with disabilities in the Los Angeles area. Our mission is to find a low cost and customized solution to one specific individual, whom we call a "need-knower", which we can then replicate and publish online for others to recreate.- This past year, we focused on 5 projects: 1) a motorized wheelchair component controlled by the broken-down remote/motor components of an electric skateboard, 2) a sling that helps a mother with a lack of motor control in her arms to rotate her newborn while nursing, 3) an ergonomic piece of foam to help an amputee play sled hockey with more comfort, 4) a waste scooper for a wheelchair user with tenodesis (post-surgical loss of tendon control) to pick up after her service dog, and 5) a modified brake for an Uber driver with a shin injury. As the Vice President, I oversaw all projects and provided technical assistance in the Makerspace.- Held presentations and weekly meetings for general members and reached out to professors, clinics, and rehab centers to refine/customize each project

- Completed 40 hours of didactic phlebotomy training and passed the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exam- Performed 60 supervised and successful venipunctures on diverse patients with proper technique and patient comfort- Experienced in performing venipuncture techniques with vacutainers, butterfly needles, and capillary sticks- Trained in labeling, storing, and transporting blood specimens in accordance with CLIA and OSHA standards

TMG is a pro-bono and student-run marketing agency dedicated to creating marketing campaigns for local businesses in the Los Angeles area.- Worked with a team of 8 other students to conceptualize, pitch, and revise a marketing campaign for MAMA's Night Market- Utilized market analysis research, audience analysis, social media insights, and survey data to pitch a specific goal for our client- Developed a student ambassador program for MAMA's Night Market to promote an upcoming night market using UGC and given assets- Used information from research to create video commercials and short-form content

- Performed advanced-standard and professional repertoire spanning various musical eras under the guidance of conductor and artistic director, Ryan Murray.- Invited to perform in Germany in July 2023, featuring works by Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, Holst, and Bernstein.- Refined skills in intonation, bowing technique, dynamics, tone, and musical interpretation through rigorous practice and performance.- Learned how to fit my part seamlessly within ensemble settings and sought collaboration with other section members by practicing together during the week.

- Operated eye imaging technology to obtain diagnostics concerning perimetry, fundus photography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), autorefraction, corneal topography, and visual field results for patients with glaucoma- Handled insurance of each incoming patient; worked closely with associates from VSP Vision Care, EyeMed, and Spectera to confirm and track each patients’ vision insurance- Translated exams for Vietnamese and Spanish-speaking patients

- Restructured ordering system for eyeglasses and contacts by installing SolutionReach, a doctor-patient text software that notifies patients of order shipment and delivery, reduced unnecessary calls and workplace stress during rush periods- Scheduled appointments, answered phone calls, and troubleshot patients’ questions and concerns- Guided customers with frame selection according to insurance coverage and patient information- Organized a sponsored volunteer event in 2021 called "A Mission for Vision" to distribute 500+ donated eyeglasses to individuals experiencing homelessness at the Loaves and Fishes shelter by taking quick prescription readings and matching them to a donated pair. Used a lensometer to measure and record the prescription of each pair of eyeglasses.
