Android Developer
Brought on as a full time Android Developer on MobileGuardian application. This application included full access and control of user permissions and device management through a private web based admin panel as well as Google's enterprise mobility management (EMM) and DPC (device policy controller).Work on the MobileGuardian app included work on the Guardians internal browser, maintaining and fixing aspects of the browser initially, then filtering links by intercepting them in the browser and through selective search with custom algorithms preparing them and sending them through to the server, then redirecting the links somewhere else in the browser tabs if they didn't fit the rules or blocking them completely internally in the browser. All this was done for multiple search engines and multiple search features. Other filtering included Youtube video blocking, category and link filtering.Other work for MobileGuardian included developing a full automatic update (download/install) feature for the app, which detected a new version of the app and downloaded it in the background then prompted for an install when possible.MobileGuardian also included bug fixes on other features of the app and the browser, an implementation of the app install/download policy for DPC was also implemented. After initial work on MobileGuardian was finished, I was assigned to other apps and started working on other applications for selective clients and startups which include clients from Dubai and Germany (Channel21.de).These were mostly based on or included Social media features, store/shopping (Channel21.de) and other similar features. Two apps were maintained/programmed in Java, rest of the apps were programmed from scratch in Kotlin.
Php Js Developer
I was initially hired to fix occurring bugs on this project and ended up staying full time.My obligations for this job were as following: Fixing reported bugs in all current used technologies (PHP, Smarty, JS, jQuery, Ajax, CSS, MySQL, etc). Making the site responsive (through Bootstrap / with a lot of modifications, that is, code written upon that framework) on all mobile platforms (the target being Apple iPhone and iPad products). SEO work, redirecting traffic, a massive amount of dead and unused links to other locations (I basically did this through self written algorithms connecting them with standard Apache server technology).Other requirements included tasks like making the gallery and picture upload and preview work on all browsers and change code for mobile platforms according to a bug in a new version of the galleria.io plugin, or a feature request - which basically resulted in code modifications or new code being written to accommodate the feature or fix a certain outside bug (plugin bug). Enabling the users to upload more pictures then previously possible through the service, which required serious modifications to the upload service through a span of technologies. The job also included tasks where modifications to the whole system of invoice generation and invoice report emailing (as well as invoice email delay according to the rules of business) to the customers were required. Modifications to the invoice database, cronjobs, as well as written reports and tests for those certain notifications and email reports had to be implemented or reimplemented. Some server maintenance via shell scripting, were also required for this job.All work was done on Linux and Linux servers, although I sometimes needed to test things out on an Apple product with OSX because I needed a Safari browser. The version control system for this job was GIT.
