Following my involvement in Micah's inaugural Pacific Australian Emerging Leaders Summit as a volunteer late last year, I have now joined the team and am overseeing all digital communications with a focus on social media and community engagement.

For three years, I worked with high school students to improve their academic performance, specifically in English, preparing lessons to develop their analytical skills and creative expression, as well as reimbursement them with a love for learning and literature.

During this placement, I learnt about the practical side of family law, assisted with adminstrative duties and heard from numerous professionals in the field. With Wallumatta Legal’s vast client-base, I also learnt about how to advise and advocate for clients from diverse backgrounds, honing my cross-cultural competence to best assist any family law clients.

As a part of my university PACE experience, I completed a two month internship at Cadence Media. I worked primarily on a magazine for Mission Aviation Fellowship, crafting a theme, locating and refining stories, and completing the additional copy work for the piece. I was also involved in planning and executing a shoot for International Justice Mission.

As a paralegal, I liaised with clients, medical practitioners and barristers. Alongside the preparation of legal documents, I assisted my solicitor with the administrative side of his practice to ensure clients feel cared for and heard, and their claims progressed efficiently and competently.

As President, I managed an executive team and ran the society’s numerous weekly activities and larger events. With a large focus on leadership development, pastoral care and organisation, my roles taught me the fundamentals of balancing management and delegation with caring for the team members’ wellbeing.

As Media Team leader, I established a vision for our social media platforms, delegated tasks and responsibilities to the different team members and coordinated our posts across multiple platforms.
