Senior honors thesis research investigating levels of environmental literacy in the Galápagos Islands and Quito, Ecuaduor in middle school aged students. Including interviews with school directors, teacher, and local NGO leaders. Collected quantitative data on environmental literacy of students by conducting the Middle School Environmental Literacy Survey with over 500 eighth grade students in schools on three of the Galápagos Islands. Collected qualitative data by interviewing principals of surveyed schools in the Galápagos Islands, and leaders/directors of environmental NGOs and governmental organizations across three islands. Lived as a researcher for two months on Santa Cruz island, Galápagos, and in Quito, Ecuador.

Worked closely with Professor of geology Elizabeth Miller and PhD Candidate Kelley Brumley on an on-going project; virtually mapped and reconstructed arctic plate tectonics using ArcGIS to visualize an alternate theory for arctic plate development. Created base maps and plates using GPlates and ArcGIS for a new arctic map used for the project's virtual reconstruction, and assisted in zircon-separation in rock samples from the arctic.
