I hope you are having a nice day!A sentence which we hear so often, and can seem like a surface pleasantry with no real substance, but really at a basic level, isn’t that what all of us want? Quite simply, to ‘have a nice day’.And that is my passion. I am a helper. I am driven to ensure, no matter what I am doing, that I help other people to ‘have a nice day’, in many different contexts.As a teacher my positive attitude, patience, and creativity ensured my students ‘had a nice day’. They felt accomplished, happy with their experience in class, were more motivated with their studies, and progressed faster. As a retail manager, ensuring that the customers and my staff members ‘had a nice day’ was at the heart of the role. Confident leadership, and setting clear expectations of my staff, meant my staff felt secure and happy in their roles. Creating a positive work environment where they could flourish and feel valued meant that my staff could ‘have a nice day’ at work. A positive attitude goes a long way in retail, which was noted by the customers who, in turn, received the best possible consumer experience.I have a thirst for knowledge, love learning new skills, and pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone, both intellectually and physically.
