New product development in advanced wound care

Provide a variety of physical testing and validation services for medical devices within a cGMP and ISO 13485 regulated environment. Analyse and present data and author key documentation including protocols and reports to regulatory standards.

As part of my degree I have completed a 12 month industrial placement within the research and development team at Crawford Healthcare, a medical device company specialising in advanced wound care products for the treatment of chronic wounds . My responsibilities included managing stabilities studies, generating product support data for marketing purposes, aiding prototype development through product testing and data analysis.

Provided the primary link between customer and pharmacy staff in the managing of prescriptions and sale of over the counter medicines. Completed the Healthcare Advisor training protocol in the sales of medicine. I was responsible for maintaining the shop floor, managing stock, disposing unwanted medication and trained key staff members at a different store in managing displays.

Organising informal weekly sessions I collaboratively manage with another students to help facilitate first years learning using skills developed over my own first year and during training for the role. Giving feedback to PASS coordinators and relevant lecturers about the first years concerns.

Undertook a voluntary position managing a welfare office, coordinating repair work and keeping all necessary supplies well stocked on a modest budget. Liaised with welfare volunteers to ensure their needs in the office were met.
