As an intern in the B&C department I support Event Planners with their events from the beginning of the planning process to the execution. I gather experience in hospitality, guest service, planning complex events of different nature from parties and galas to corporate events, event styling and more.

As a members of Supervisory Board I am supporting Marketing manager and Events manager of ESN Breda, as well as the entire board and volunteers. I am making sure the events and marketing are of great quality, in order with the organisational framework and the Executive Board has all the tools, knowledge and help they require. Additionally, my tasks include taking care of the well-being of all volunteers working in the organisation.

As an Event Manager, it is my job to create a diverse event calendar, provide all the resources, create a sustainable budget and provide my team members with opportunities to create events. My goals for this year as an Event Manager are to make sure my team has all the resources to make their ideas a reality and to grow a network for ESN Breda. This position helps me grow in so many ways, allows me to discover the world of real-life events.

During this time I learned how to take care of the front desk of the school, greeting guests and coordinating rooms for different meetings. I made sure that every class had proper, needed supplies, and ordered monthly and extra supplies. I organised and ran parent-teacher meetings. This was a big lesson in hospitality and a professional approach.

Working at Gdańsk Business Week as a co-organiser was my first real-life event job opportunity. It opened my eyes to my passion for events and helped me develop all the skills needed for a professional career. While organising this week of business workshops for youth from Poland and abroad I learned how to work under stress, coordinate a team and provide the participants with the most memorable experience.
