Skilled trial lawyer and transformative organizational management consultant. As a trial lawyer for nearly 20 years, my practice focused on complex commercial and product liability litigation. My work often involved high-profile, high-stakes cases, including work with a trial team to secure a $50 million verdict for a finance company against its national accounting firm after a 5 week jury trial (Listed as the National Law Journal's 2nd largest professional liability verdict in the Country that year). I also served as a Municipal Prosecutor and as a Public Service Special Prosecutor in two DA's Offices. My legal work garnered much recognition: repeatedly listed in Chambers Guide-USA for excellence in Commercial Litigation and Best Lawyers in America for Bet-the-Company Litigation and Commercial Litigation; named a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, a “Wisconsin Super Lawyer” by Law & Politics, a “Woman Leader in the Law” by the Wisconsin Law Journal, a "Forty under 40” Business Leader by the Milwaukee Business Journal and an AV Preeminent peer rating by Martindale-Hubbell.I also stepped away from my legal career twice to lead the transformative organizational change of two international non profits to help them dramatically increase the impact of their work. In Africa, I helped strengthen the sustainability and impact of a Namibian non-profit helping over 500 HIV/AIDS orphans or otherwise vulnerable children and I assisted Namibia's Legal Assistance Centre and lawyers and judges across southern Africa to reform Namibia's children's laws through Namibia's Child Care and Protection Bill. In Latin America, I helped increase the efficiency, sustainability and impact of a Peruvian non-profit building the capacity of grassroots organizations promoting conservation, democracy and human rights throughout Latin America. I received national awards from the Litigation Counsel of America and Super Lawyers for my non-profit work.
