- Maintaining the facility to GMP standards of cleanliness (Grade D, C and A areas) and environmental standards, with a particular focus on water sampling for TOC, Bioburden and Endotoxins, and other environmental monitoring. - Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safety. Acting as a deputy for the Health and Safety committee.- Involvement in Validation activities. - Training on Gettinge Autoclave and Washer units.

Lab based role in leading UKAS accredited biotech lab, working in BSL level 2 containment environment. Duties of the role include:• Conducting analysis on COVID-19 samples including PCR testing and genomic sequencing. • Perform DNA/RNA extraction and track samples using a LIMS system. signed off as competent in multiple lab processes to cover workflow, including PCR reagent preparation, Hamilton/Integra robot usage, loading use and maintenance of QuantStudio 5 and 7 PCR instruments etc. Additional training in Next Generation Sequencing workflow processes including DNA and RNA amplification, reverse transcription, purification and pooling. • Maintaining a clean and sterile working environment• Other laboratory duties where required

July 2019 I moved to China to teach English in Greentown Yuha Kindergarten in Taizhou. I used the opportunity to develop and push my communication skills, teaching in China required me to be adaptable, open to trying new things and also to learn on the job. With a huge language barrier between myself the staff and the students I had to improvise, be flexible and very patient. As the only foreign teacher in the school it was vital that I was able to adapt quickly to this completely new lifestyle and challenging position using the skills I have developed through my education and previous work experience (both domestic and international). My roles included organising English Language Lessons for all 11 class groups at the school, each class had two lessons per week. I planned lessons, prepared materials and communicated to the school what I planned to be teaching. I was also responsible for organizing extra activities, including Christmas celebrations and end of term games.

I traveled UK wide and supported the company at graduations, regularly finding myself leading teams selling memorabilia to a wide customer bases. Each team was responsible for multiple stands at the graduation therefore I was expected to communicate within the team to organize shifts and manage stock balance. I kept the head office updated by providing daily status reports regarding stock position and sales.
