Design and deliver course content within the Early Childhood sector for adult education. Attend student practicum placements and use observations of their interaction with children and engagement in the service to provide support with written assessments building student capacity to support children and the service in ways that are relevant and appropriate to that community.

- Support parents with their daily care responsibilities such as bathing, nappy changing, feeding and sleep routines, by way of modelling, demonstration, guidance and observation - Provide advocacy for families affected by a rage of disadvantages and adversities- Use responsive care giving techniques to build parent capacity and enhance attachment between parent/caregiver and young child- Work sensitively and assertively with PASDA clients to ensure children are being cared for appropriately and in a timely manner- Ensure court orders regarding children’s safety are adhered to (IAO, IO)- Follow policies and procedures regarding observation/documentation, community links (outreach), parent education and support plus internal referrals for professional services- Work collaboratively with a trans-disciplinary team of doctors, Maternal Child Health Nurses, Psychologists, Family Support Workers and ECP’s- Attend routine and specialist outings with parents to shops, park, doctor and court

- Planning and programming safe, inclusive and challenging learning opportunities and transition routines based on children’s needs, interests and abilities, including those from vulnerable (special needs or CALD) backgrounds- Thorough and high standard compliance with QA/NQF (and the standards), regulations, Acts and curriculum frameworks (My Time, Our Place and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework)- Administration of Childcare Benefit and the service’s obligation around Commonwealth funding for OSHC programs including producing weekly parent statements- Monitoring staff performance (including mentoring and training) to build staff capacity, organising professional development and ensuring all staff are suitably qualified (including child protection, first aid and WWC) for the positions they hold- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with families and a multi-disciplinary team including principals, doctors, MCH Nurses,teachers, ISF’s, case workers, psychologists and speech therapists - Engaging with service partners such as local councils, kindergartens and schools to share skills and expertise and promote full and appropriate participation for individual children in planned programs- Rosters and staffing that meet regulation ratios in and out of service boundaries- Preparing accreditation reports (QIP, self-study report) and documents (service and staff handbooks, enrolment forms, excursion forms, accident/incident reports)- Compiling, monitoring and reviewing budgets that ensure service fees and charges meet program costs- Developing, implementing and reviewing service policies and procedures to reflect the needs of the service and community- Producing a variety of written communications such as reports, agendas, letters (to families or organisations) budgets, newsletters, proposals, funding applications, references plus a wide range of advertising material for local and wider viewing

Plan, manage and oversee the multi-site OSHC programs and extra-curricular activities offered by the college. Ensure the successful operation of each program including staffing, compliance with regulations and budget constraints. Responsible for recruitment, staff appraisals, parent/community advertising and correspondence, grant and accreditation compliance.
