Assisting the HR Manager to counsel the Plant Manager, Heads of Department, employees and trade union representatives in a generalist, advisory capacity encompassing all aspects of performance, disciplinary, grievance, appraisals, and succession planning.▪Responsible for recruitment and selection, identifying staffing requirements and gap analysis, liaising with external agencies, shortlisting applications, conducting assessment centres and interviews.▪Attending management production meetings to identify areas of concern on a day to day basis, supporting the business in rectifying issues and collating and presenting daily KPI/MI data.▪Monitoring absence and attrition, designing strategies to reduce absenteeism. Compiling reports to identify triggers/patterns, conducting home visits, return to work interviews/absence reviews and taking appropriate action. Liaising with OH providers to action referrals and identify the best course of action to support return from long/short term absence.▪Introduction of a careers consultation in partnership with the management team to meet with employees to create development plans, identifying training needs and succession planning.▪ER caseload management, including discipline and grievance. Advising managers, supporting and leading investigation and disciplinary meetings and following up with the necessary action from warning to dismissal.▪Provision of resource and support to effectively manage performance.▪Delivery HR strategy, policies and procedures. Review and implementation of new and existing policies and upskilling managers.▪Working with managers to identify shop floor manning, identifying gaps and staffing needs.▪Employee lifecycle management, including on-boarding/induction, off-boarding, contractual adjustments, and monitoring progress of new associates through probationary period.▪ER advice including employment law, family leave and flexible working.▪Driving benefit and engagement initiatives.
