Amelia is currently employed at Zutari as an Associate in the Communication and Stakeholder Unit. She has over 32 years of experience in government and the private sector and has acted as a business consultant in various areas, including stakeholder management, enterprise, skills development; sustainable community development; skills audits; new venture creation; facilitation, needs analysis, curriculum development, and change management.Amelia’s professional outlook is to bring magic and innovative thinking into everything she does. She believes that a touch of magic is a necessary ingredient for living and a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Amelia is a thought leader and a designer of new transformative processes and an implementer of legacy and sustainable projects. Her clients and communities trust her and value her opinions due to her personal approach. Amelia is always looking for opportunities to develop private-public partnerships through collaborative innovative processes. She is a natural motivator who, through teamwork, believes that all stakeholders have something valuable to add to any project through creative design thinking processes. She then established her own training and development company. She joined Aurecon in 2011 and is now seen as a thought leader in Zutari. Amelia is an accredited assessor and facilitator with a national qualification in Adventure-related Experiential Learning (AEL); Professional Coach; Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator and Neurolinguistics Practitioner. Courses presented include team-building; Community Pedestrian Safety, Eat What You Grow Food security, and entrepreneurial development. She developed the Advanced and Emerging Management Development Programmes for the University of Pretoria and a Secretarial Course for WITS and developed an interactive and online Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) Course. Her stakeholder engagement and community participation models mitigate risks, minimize community unrest and conflict on projects. Her team is seen as trusted advisors to their clients and communities. She wants to live a life worth living and more importantly when imagining what the future holds, she wants to see how many people she has inspired and who will carry on her legacy without her!
