About Amelia Willis
When I was 8 years old, my parents gave me a box full of books for the Commodore 64. Using those books, I taught myself how to program in BASIC. That was when I fell in love with computers and programming. The dot com era introduced me to web development and design. Over the years, as the Internet evolved, I learned HTML, Perl, Javascript, CSS, and PHP. I didn't give up learning traditional programming languages, though -- Java, C++, and x86 Assembly were languages that I picked up while attending college. Currently, I work for the City of Bend, while contracting my skills as a programmer out to small businesses in my free time.
