Summer Placement
Whilst on placement at Fugro GEOS, Wallingford, I was entrusted with a project on the study of squalls in South East Asia. During this project I became more familiar with the use of the computer program Matlab and collating satellite images, which were then presented in a final report using Fugro in-house templates and through a 15 minute presentation.
Work Experience Placement
I was drafted to do an assortment of activities whilst at the IOS, from analysing sidescan backscatter, creating ISO formatted vessel work crib sheets, to plotting the abundance of zooplankton around the Island. The highlight was 10 days onboard the Vessel CCGS Tully. From this experience I discovered that I quickly integrate well into a team and that I am.
