Based in the capital of Lao PDR, Vientiane College offers a wide range of language learning opportunities to students of all ages and abilities. As a teacher on the General English programme I was responsible for planning and teaching lessons to students from beginner level upwards. Additional responsibilities during my time at Vientiane College included presenting at the annual Laos TEFL conference, being a member of the workshop committee, extensive reading coordinator and involvement in arranging a charity quiz night in aid of Vientiane Rescue. Whilst in Laos, I also took the opportunity to volunteer for Laos Rugby Federation assisting at events and also helping with their social media.

SCA is one of the world's largest companies in personal care products, the world's third-largest supplier of tissue and one of Europe's most profitable producers of forest products.As Product and Segment Manager, I was responsible for implementing the AFH (Away from Home) marketing strategy within the UK & Ireland markets and contributed in regional and international marketing projects.Main duties included:Effective planning, implementation, co-ordination and review of product launches and other marketing campaigns with KPI reporting.Product management, with KPI reporting, and recommendations for actions driving profitability and product sales growth including strategic product target plans, value engineering initiatives and up sell/cross sell support.Price positioning and assortment management at regional level including attendance as regional representative at European PCG meetings.Over my time with SCA, significant projects included:Input into the relaunch of the product assortment and management of the process in the region. This included training the local team in the changes and ensuring a smooth transition for customers.Supporting the integration process when SCA acquired another company, this included changes within our team and the training of sales staff from both organisations.
