I use my strengths to make a difference. As a management consultant, I engage with clients in business and the nonprofit sector as well as in government to drive change and move people and organizations forward. Recent projects include organization development and strategy for a seed-stage startup as well as the public portion of a capital campaign for a $5 million building that will enable a nonprofit organization to dramatically transform the way they deliver services to people in need. In a previous role as executive director of an education nonprofit, I turned around a stagnant organization by successfully leading all facets of program development, fundraising, marketing, events, and financial operations. The result was a highly effective collaboration between local businesses and educators to bring the real world into classrooms and to immerse students in the business world. As a business development, fundraising, and marketing professional, I thrive on results. I have successfully secured sponsorships and funding for multiple annual programs with progressively increased support each year. This has come about largely because of strategic, executive-level alliances I have developed with area business leaders including Nissan, State Farm, Bridgestone, Saint Thomas Rutherford | Ascension, and Middle Tennessee State University, among others. I have served on multiple nonprofit boards of directors for diverse types of organizations, including in roles as president and as president-elect. These organizations include those that support women's professional advancement and personal development; Rotary; the rights, education, and quality of life of disabled children and adults; equal access to technology in K-12 education; a children's museum that emphasizes STEAM learning; healthcare access for underserved populations; and a faith-based bi-coastal missions organization that serves international communities in U.S. metropolitan cities. I am excited to be helping educate aspiring leaders as an instructor within the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University. My classes include Leadership Tools and Self-Assessment, Principles of Management, Not-for-Profit Management, and Strategic Decision Making and Program Evaluation. I introduce my students to executives who are setting the world on fire. I am open to new opportunities for consulting, speaking and workshop presentations, project management, and all-around interesting gigs where I can do what I do best: make a difference.
