My role at the University of Auckland was to coordinate and support departmental events and to manage faculty lead events. This ranged from student barbecues to large scale events that promote both the faculty and University to new students and to industry partners. As the administrative support for this diverse unit, I had a wide range of roles from supporting the Visits and Ceremony staff at New Zealand War Commemorations at both the New Zealand War Memorial and at Parliament and support in organising Guest of Government visits to having a large role in the release and distribution of two Royal Inquiries, as well as providing Executive Assistant duties for the recent high-profile Government inquiry into the Whey and Protein Contamination Incident.

I originally joined the Passport unit of the Department of Internal Affairs in 2005 as my first professional job within the work force. Over the course of my seven years working within Passports I worked in a wide range of roles which required me to maintain a high level of confidentiality and security. I have a sharp eye for detail from working as a Passport Certifier, I also worked in and managed the Image Capture team which ensures that the passport image meets the strict Government standards, and as a Passport Officer I carrying out all identity checks on the individual and contacting them for more information as required.
