I’m a passionate Singing Teacher and Vocal Coach specialising in the development of children and young people’s singing voices for professional Musical Theatre although I also teach adults. The majority of my clients are professional singers and performers but some clients also come to me to sing for pleasure. My 'go to' genre is Musical Theatre as it's my first passion, however I do cover a wide range of genres including pop, worship and classical. I also teach at Bird College, where I trained, coaching students ages 16+ in singing. Recently I’ve worked at Laine, Mountview and many other top UK specialist performing colleges as well as taking a new role as MD of a ladies prison choir. I’m studying an MA in professional practice (Vocal Pedagogy) for which I’m currently engaged in a case study of children with performance anxiety. I hope to further to a PhD, eeek! I'm lucky enough that I still get the chance to perform. As an entertainer, I mostly sing Jazz Standards and American Songbook in restaurants and as background at parties, or Disco floor fillers at events, but I'm most happy singing the theatre hits of Barbra Streisand when I get the chance !I am lucky to have a supportive and loving husband who inspires me every day to fulfil my passions. On a local level, I love my community and run a soup run for the homeless.I previously had 13 years of experience of managing and running a performing arts school for young people.I get immense enjoyment from seeing my students develop as individuals as well as talented performers, and value the positive impact my work can have on them.
