As they wanted to make use of a piece of artwork that I already have available for sale royalty-free, I charged an hourly rate for the custom work.• Another project was a request for a wallpaper design to be purchased through Spoonflower.com. The client did not want an exclusive design, so I waived my fees as I would receive a commission from Spoonflower for the products they purchased as well as any future sales. Had the client wanted an exclusive design, I would have charged an hourly rate and made a royalty or flat-fee agreement with them.
