From press release (see attached media) "ACC SAAC representatives play an important role in bridging the gap between administrative personnel and the student-athlete body both at their respective institutions and throughout the conference. The committee is designed to incorporate ideas and opinions from student-athletes into legislative decisions that will affect our academic and athletic pursuits. These athletes are developing valuable leadership skills as they address changes in rules and regulations, organize community service events, and build a positive image for collegiate athletes."

The purpose of the advisory group is to allow student-athletes to be more active in providing input on ACC and NCAA issues in field hockey (specific to Fall 2023, how ACC conference realignment impacts student-athletes in terms of travel schedules, etc.)

As Vice President of the Wake Forest Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), I work in conjunction with the president and administrators in student-athlete development to be a pivotal link between student-athletes, university administration, and the local community, ensuring seamless communication and fostering a supportive environment that promotes leadership and unity within Wake Forest Athletics.

As an undergraduate researcher I am mentored by a senior faculty member in the Department of Health and Exercise Science. I am dedicated to exploring the relationship between RPE and HRV-driven markers of workload in order to optimize training in a high-performance, Division 1 setting for female athletes. I hope that my findings will expand the existing research base available to inform behavior modification.

WFU HELPS is a medically directed, professionally supervised prevention program designed to develop a healthy and active lifestyle through exercise and education programs. Responsibilities as an undergraduate intern include helping participants with exercise prescriptions, shadowing various physical assessments (ex: stress tests, blood pressure, EKG), and performing exercise consultations.

Serving as a representative and liaison between the student-athlete and administrative bodies, developing leadership skills and seeking to enhance the student-athlete experience at Wake Forest University.

Helping athletes develop tactical and technical field hockey skills, while also encouraging them to build character and resilience through their role as a teammate.
