About Amelia Glas
I am a recent graduate the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences, and minors in Organizational Leadership for Nonprofits and Education Studies. I am passionate about community service and helping others through service as well as through the field of Human Resources. I interned for Edwards Lifesciences on the Talent Management and Learning team, and I supported this team remotely from Florida as a contracted worker. In this role, I supported five separate groups through research and individual projects. I am currently seeking employment in the field of Human Resources. During my time at UF, I was part of an organization called Circle K International, the world's largest student-led collegiate service organization, and served as Membership Development and Education committee chair and as Secretary. With this organization, I did over 600 hours of community service. I have a background in education and worked at a child development center as a substitute teacher for 3 years. My top five strengths from StrengthsFinder 2.0 are Arranger, Maximizer, Input, Communication, and Adaptability. I just completed a year teaching English in Spain through NALCAP.
