I teach Interaction Design courses with a focus on user experience research. In this role, I advise students on research and design projects and work with other faculty to coordinate learning across courses.

I develop and conduct qualitative studies for clients including Facebook, Oculus, Mozilla, BC Hydro and Destination Canada. I lead user testing sessions both in-person and remotely and document, analyze and present findings from these studies.I am also responsible for consulting with internal and external designers and developers in the execution of prototypes and collateral and have facilitated customer journey mapping, SWOT analysis and other design-centered methods in collaboration with clients and other stakeholders.

I design and execute research studies for academic, marketing and product development purposes, and design and implement communications strategies for a variety of business and other endeavors. As a research consultant to Concerto, I led the proposal, development, implementation, and reporting of qualitative studies. From client interviews to competitive overviews and market analysis, I provided insights for brand strategy.

I managed, developed and conducted research for two National Science Foundation funded research projects: 1) Informal Science Education Pathways Project Grant #1224131: Repurposing Obsolescence: Teaching DIY Science, Technology and Engineering Practices to Adolescents in Underserved Communities2) Information and Intelligent Systems Human-Centered Computing Grant #1321065: How Do-It-Yourself Makers are Reinventing Production, Labor, and Innovation.

Stub Hub Center (formerly The Home Depot Center) is home to the LA Galaxy and formerly Chivas USA Major League Soccer teams. I served as Director, Technical Director, Replay Operator, Camera Operator, Camera Shader, and Clock Operator for in house productions for both teams as well as other events at the stadium.

TeeHub is a boutique company that serves small businesses by providing media, technology, marketing, and back office services. At TeeHub, I managed production of corporate, promotional, sales, and training videos as well as live productions for broadcast on television and web platforms

Led lecture and discussion, designed and graded assignments and exams, managed course website and correspondence, coordinated logistic arrangements of class, including securing instructional materials and managing technical facilities.

Served as main point of contact between staff, students, parents, patients, faculty, interns and outside entities to manage day-to-day operations and long term goals of elementary school-based treatment program for children with ADHD and other learning, behavior and developmental issues.

Worked independently and with artists to install, maintain and de-install electronic, digital and interactive art, responsible for trouble shooting and resolving technical problems with artworks, guided visitors during normal business hours as well as class visits, group tours and fundraising events.
