I am proud to be part of the NTU alumni, graduating with a 2.1 degree in English and History.I work for LDH (La Doria), market leading own label ambient food supplier. I began as a junior commercial executive, and have recently moved into the purchasing team as Assistant Buyer. This role is fast paced, challenging, and has given me the opportunity to travel often overseas to visit different factories and attend tradeshows. My day-to-day is data driven, so I have good excel skills, and use Mintec often to track commodity prices. I work in a small team of 2 people, and we are responsible for over 40 suppliers, therefore focus and excellent organisation is key to success. We are heavily involved in the NPD process, support the commercial sales team, and collaborate closely with the supply chain team. My previous job role at Creative Cosmetics focused on new product development, helping small and larger businesses to develop and manage projects within the cosmetics field. I dealt with many high profile clients, maintaining relationships, and gaining new business. I spent a lot of time day to day sourcing/buying packaging solutions for clients from worldwide suppliers. Attention to detail and deadline management was key.
