Outside of my role, I revised the company's social media strategy, co-managed the social media manager, and worked on strategic communications and copywriting for various products (Bandcamp Live, Listening Parties, Search and other products yet to launch). I teach artist marketing, releasing your own music, fundraising, biography writing, and blogging workshops at the Roundhouse as part of various programs including the Roundhouse Rising Festival.

This role involves assessing funding applications, suggesting applicants and providing feedback to the foundation on its work with artists.

I started Put Me On It, a culture blog specialising in independent and emerging music in 2008. We produced events, stages at festivals, and helped to launch the careers of a number of artists. In 2013 the company took on two co-directors and transitioned into a creative development, management and production company, representing Pim Stones and Wyles & Simpson. I worked as the promoter on Radio 1/ 1Xtra DJ Benji B's successful club night, which regularly sold out and received very positive press. We promoted events with artists including; Flying Lotus, Mayer Hawthorne, Madlib, J Rocc, Hudson Mohawke, Jamie Woon, Dam Funk, Dego, Sa Ra Creative Partners, J*Davey, Phonte, Invincible, Dorian Concept, Martyn, Fatima, Eric Lau, Tawiah, Ahu and many others.

My various freelance roles included delivering and managing VIP & film industry visits (including for actors Emma Thompson, Gurinder Chadha & Jason Isaacs) to schools across the United Kingdom, developing relationships with partner organisations such as Love Film, the UK Film Council and BAFTA, producing showcase events at major trade shows, and providing research reports.

My role was to deliver the centre's vision of developing culturally diverse aspiring, emerging, and established artists through outreach and participatory activity, training, and artist development, whilst serving the local community. I was responsible for carrying out an organisational diversity audit, analysing the results, setting up a diversity working group, and pulling together the final plan which was hailed as one of the best submitted by an RFO.
