My lived experience informs my dedication to addressing intersections of race, class, and healthcare, fueling my commitment to lift marginalized communities and amplify equitable access to resources across California.As an action-oriented leader, I am adept at crafting and executing strategies that drive organizational impact, leading cross-functional teams, developing grant-making solutions, and designing capacity-grant initiatives for social service agencies and healthcare providers. With a career spanning $52M in social justice investments, my focus has remained on improving the quality of life for women and children, cultural competencies, increasing access to care, and advancing equity in community health, education, and youth development.Notable achievements include founding and leading The Wright Group, where I developed over 120 federally funded partnerships and implemented a transformative $3 million grant program to combat intimate partner violence across multiple states. Under my leadership, The Wright Group was recognized as the top small business contractor for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services from 2006 to 2014. My work to enhance community impact and address gender-related health disparities earned me the White House "Champion of Change" honor, along with DC’s IMPACT Leader of the Year award for expanding healthcare access for women and children in vulnerable communities.I am a lifelong learner, currently pursuing a doctorate at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
