Amelia Landin is a graduate student at the University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology and Disease Control. She interned at a non-profit organization called Latched Support, where she gained experience in client communication, teamwork, and learned about nonprofit management. Additionally, she has worked at a surgical center during college, handling responsibilities such as managing medical records, setting up paperwork for cases, and assisting clients.Amelia has volunteered with various nonprofit organizations in her community, including the Texas Diaper Bank, San Antonio Food Bank, Planned Parenthood, and Texas Freedom Network. She also interned for Texas Senator Roland Gutierrez, where she handled constituent concerns, stayed updated with political news, organized and analyzed emails, created social media posts, and participated in events. At the end of her internship, she was hired as full-time staff in Constituent Services.Throughout her college career, Amelia has enjoyed contributing to the community and working in social services. She is adaptable to fast-paced environments and is proficient in a variety of tasks.Amelia has a diverse professional background, soon after working with the Texas Senator Roland Gutierrez, Amelia began working with Refugee Services of Texas. Where she was responsible for outreach and community engagement. She took the lead in creating and managing an internship program, collaborating with local colleges and universities. Later, in the role of Social Engagement Coordinator, Amelia assisted individuals and families transitioning to the U.S. from various countries, helping them access essential services like SSI, Food Stamps, TANF, and obtaining social security cards.Subsequently, Amelia joined Mindoula Health, where she facilitates enrollment in remote mental health services for individuals across the country. Concurrently, she serves as a board member and Director of Outreach at the nonprofit Poderosa Rising. In this multifaceted role, Amelia oversees brand awareness, analytics, email marketing, social media management, and community outreach. Her responsibilities also extend to managing interns and volunteers, showcasing her leadership skills and commitment to making a positive impact.
