I am currently a sophomore at Auburn University studying Accounting in the Harbert College of Business. Many find Accounting to be a tedious and taxing (no pun intended) job, however, I have found it to be the perfect fit for my personality. Accounting requires an individual to be detail-oriented and an excellent problem-solver. As a kid, puzzles were one of my favorite activities, which is an activity that calls for detail-oriented and problem-solving kind of people. Another one of my strong suits is that I extremely versatile. I have moved around a great deal starting in Memphis, TN; then Birmingham, AL; Austin, TX; and finally Auburn, AL. Change tends to be a very hard concept for many people to deal with. I, however, have grown to love it. I personally believe that change in all areas of life is sometimes necessary and should not be looked upon negatively, but as an extraordinary opportunity for growth.
