January began my promotion as Senior Consultant II. Here, I familiarised myself with client ERP systems (Oracle) and provided advice on a range of issues including accounting, tax and payroll (for international clients). I prepared and reviewed annual and monthly statutory submissions and used Xero, a cloud accounting software to manage transactions and produce financial reports. I gained deep knowledge of appropriate tax treatments of Thai tax laws including the Revenue Code, court precedents, tax rulings as well as guidelines issued by the Revenue Department. Part of my mandate included preparation of year-end financial statements as well as client and auditor liaison to ensure all reports were GAAP-compliant. I also began taking on coaching which included managing, monitoring and reviewing both non-senior and junior consultants. I was assigned as a buddy to a junior consultant, training and coaching her which resulted in her promotion to Consultant. I took it upon myself to implement service plans for new clients to ensure services were delivered on time and with appropriate care. This brought about much positive feedback from our clients.As a result, I was promoted, within 6 months, to Senior Consultant I.

But I responded with enthusiasm and drive, completing work often with tight deadlines and focusing on self development along the way.
