I have worked on reducing the environmental impacts in the workplace including the change from polystyrene to compostable take out boxes. I also accept and relay any customer suggestions to the appropriate senior member of the team, I have to think on my feet when dealing with customer complaints and am also entrusted to train the new members of staff.

Fundraising for the Bangor Fund, by calling alumni and requesting donations. This included asking alumni their current occupation, checking personal details and entering them into a database and making conversation about their University experience. Restocking the bar and promoting the club to revellers on the streets were also minor parts of my job. I helped with some conflict resolution between customers and other, less senior staff, which helped build my confidence when dealing with more raucous and occasionally abusive customers. My main jobs here were to set up the shop, serve customers, clean and close down the shop. As I grew more confident in my role I was able to serve more quickly while also keeping the friendly rapport we had between the staff and the customers. I was trusted with taking stock and also occasionally making the orders for the next week.
