After working on space-related translations for several years, I decided to put a more serious focus on this line of work and split it off from my other translation projects. This was the birth of Cosmic Lingua.Via Cosmic Lingua, I provide English and German translations, copywriting and editing services for the following areas: - space technology - space medicine - space tourism

I focus mainly on the translation of technical and scientific texts, especially projects from the following subject areas: IT, medicine, mechanical engineering, marketing, aerospace engineering, tourism and sports. Furthermore, I also translate school and birth certificates that require certification.I also offer proofreading and editing of translations and other texts in the above-mentioned areas.To insure consistence and high quality, I work with CAT tools such as Trados Studio and regularly attend training sessions and webinars on new and improved features of software and other topics that relate to my specialisations.

As a Vendor Manager, my main responsibility was the allocation of translation projects to translators (both in-house and freelance) as well as keeping the company's translator database up to date (including details such as new tools, subject areas and so on). Furthermore, I liaised with potential new freelance translators and played an important role in evaluating their CV information and translation and proofreading capabilities. Other responsibilities included acting as a general point of contact for people outside the company and supporting our in-house translators.

As a student employee at Gemino I was responsible for the translation and proofreading of short to medium length texts, mainly in the areas of IT, marketing, medicine and mechanical engineering. Other regular tasks included quality assurance and glossary creation. During my time at Gemino, I also was able to gain hands-on experience in the work with commonly used CAT tools like Trados Studio, MemoQ and others.
