My name is Amelie Mennenga, and I am currently a junior at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I am studying Business Marketing with a collateral in International Business and a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. Throughout my collegiate experience, I have been involved in multiple organizations and leadership positions in order to challenge myself in new ways and grow as a person. I am the Vice President of Community Relations for Delta Delta Delta as well as serve as the Panhellenic Delegate for my sorority and chair of the DEIAB Committee. Additionally, I organized and led a team for Volthon, a 12-hour dance marathon created to support East Tennessee Children's Hospital. Alongside these positions, I am a Student Ambassador and Tour Guide for my university. I serve as the first line of defense when it comes to meeting prospective families, providing them with up-to-date information about UT. Similarly, I am a member of The Volunteer Team, under the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, working alongside the athletics department to inform and encourage the decisions of prospective athletes.By maintaining these positions and being enrolled in courses that help me to further my education and gain new skills, my confidence has grown immensely, and I feel well-prepared for future success. I have learned beneficial interpersonal skills, the value of teamwork and communication, and how to achieve both academic and personal successes by identifying my strengths and using them to foster growth both inside and outside of the workplace. After college, I hope to use my skills of positivity and creativity to thrive within my career path. My goal is to find a job that I am truly passionate about, such as being a successful digital marketing specialist or event planner.
