I am a third year student at UNSW studying a Bachelor of Media (Communications and Journalism). I have a passion for storytelling and enjoy producing written and audio content. Currently I am a Communications Officer at UNSW, where I develop and manage social media content for the UNSW Young Women in Engineering Club. I have the privilege to volunteer as a sub-editor for UNSW’s student publication, Blitz. In my role I work with the editor and sub-editors to generate content, and edit student-written articles, working with the authors to publish articles to Blitz’s website. I pride myself on contributing my own articles to the publication, including reviews and commentary pieces. I produce a podcast along with my friend and university colleague, and am interested in developing my audio production skills further. In my second year of university I volunteered as an editor for UNSW’s creative writing magazine, Unsweetened. With a team of editors, designers and marketers I edited creative pieces and finalised the production of the magazine. Prior to commencing my journalism studies, I studied science and engineering for a year. During this time I was the secretary of the UNSW Physics Society, where I developed my skills in administration and teamwork. Throughout my first year I worked as a mathematics and physics tutor, which involved extensive communication with students and parents. I also have experience in developing content for a tutoring company.
