As the co-editor of the IZA Journal of Migration I strengthen and uphold integrity in research above all. I also make sure that the vision and mission of the journal is sustained and the journal readership increases. As an editor, I am involved in all stages of a manuscript publication, from desk rejection, searching for referees, assigning papers to referees, to making decisions about the publication of a manuscript, all along interacting with the co-editor Denis Fougere and managing editor Corrado Giulietti, and involving the associate editors. A serious part of my job is to advertise for the journal reaching out to different outlets as well as actively looking for new topics and methods of research in migration, identifying researchers and asking them for their contributions to the IZAJoM. Lastly, I often present the journal and talk about how to get published in international conferences and other meetings, with high success.
