ROLE/JOB SUMMARY:This role will work closely together with other members of the Module Technology group and other departments in REC and key material & equipment suppliers to contribute his/her expertise to optimize the electrical performance of PV modules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1) Develop new materials and module designs together with key partners to meet the cost & performance requirements of current and future REC products and manufacturing lines2) Device and establish test protocols to evaluate & qualify new module designs3) Visit equipment vendors and evaluate their equipment & technology in detail4) Identify key developments and partners in different module manufacturing equipment5) Work with other members of the module technology team to meet the overall objectives of the group

Sales & Marketing 1. Assist in arrangement and conducting presentations, seminars, trade fairs, etc 2. Attend to enquiries, prepare sales proposals / tenders and follow up with Clients. 3. Research for new products and liaison with principals. Design 1. Undertake design and configuration of PV and other renewable energy systems. 2. Undertake energy and losses calculations / simulations. 3. Constantly evaluate and review softwares and design and installation methodologies for optimization of performance and cost. 4. Assist in basic autocad drafting of PV layout, single line, mounting details, etc. Project Execution & Management 1. Prepare project schedule, identify critical milestones for ordering, delivery, etc. 2. Prepare workplace health and safety manuals. 3. Identify and prepare risk assessment. 4. Prepare project quality and environmental plan 5. Assist in calling of quotations, discussion with sub-contractors / vendors. 6. Monitor delivery schedule, work schedule, etc 7. Attend meetings with Clients / Architects / Main Contractors. 8. Conduct site surveys to establish locations of equipment / panels, wiring routes, fixing details, etc. 9. Assist in the preparation of shop drawings and securing approval thereof. 10. Conduct testing and commissioning of the system. 11. Arrange for preparation of as-built drawings, operation manuals and trainings. 12. Supervise sub-contractor’s work on site and liaise with Main Contractor on project schedules Business Strategy 1. Assist the Managing Director in medium and long term business strategies and directions.
