More than 20 years of Corporate credit and risk management experience in both “Conventional & Islamic” Finance in the MENA & GCC regions.Maintaining a strong internal business relationship with key stakeholders of (Corporate, Retail, Finance, Legal, Treasury & Investment, Audit, IT, Risk Areas, etc.), as well liaise with external stakeholders such as corporate clients, external auditors, Law firms and regulators, with consistent success track records in achieving desired results.Oversee and direct all Corporate Credit (including Remedial) and Credit Administration functions to maintain and manage a high quality portfolio in line with Business strategy and Risk Appetite.Ensure & Contribute to preparation & analysis of IFRS# 9 results, ensuring asset quality and risk reward balances are in compliance with risk appetite metrics.Monitor and follow-up with Business RM’s on dues to maintain a low loss provisioning under IFRS# 9 guidelines.Ensure the adequacy of credit coverage on effective provisioning aspect and portfolio reports are in compliance with the directives of the Central Bank.Ensure and oversee the implementation of approved credit risk policies/processes which also include training/awareness of the Credit and Business RM’s to secure wide usage.Managing the “monitoring and control” of the work with these time-tested credit risk policies/processes in all related credit evaluation/proposals to be in line with the bank’s risk appetite and strategy.Direct & conduct the assessment of credit applications/requests to approve/decline them. If not within my delegated authority as Deputy Head of the Credit Committee, I propose them to Executive/Senior Credit Committee level (Jordan HO) with adequate recommendations to assure a profitable/efficient decision taking.Conducted regular reviews of new products policies - One of the leading achievement was my coordination in Bank’s effort to obtain the first SAMA “Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency” and “Ministry of Commerce & Industry” license for “Real Estate Financing and Financial Lease”.Actively participate and provide solutions/advices on matters of policy in project to Executive/Senior committees (e.g., Moody’s Rating Model Realignment Project, KPI’s, KRI’s, CRSA). As well scaling up Credit Strategy & Risk Appetite Statements and requisite sections of Credit Policy Manual.Consistently assist the CRO and CCO in formulating term planning (3 years Plan) for Credit, Market and Operational Risk departments to maintain a resilient asset quality metrics that meets risk/business targets.
