Typical sections of reinforced concrete beam to column joint specimens were prepared using current code ACI318-08. The specimens are to be tested under cyclic loading to simulate vertical component of seismic or similar forces using 2D frame support. A total of 4 different reinforced concrete beam-column joint specimens were investigated, with 2 specimens having additional prestressing strands. The specimens were loaded axially in the mid-point to the estimated maximum capacity and to have sufficient cracks (to experience minor damage). Then the specimens were repaired with CFRP (Wabo Mbrace 160) applied on surface of the joint. The repair specimens were retested with predetermined continually increasing cyclic loading to observe the general performance. Extensive studies of the data from the experiment would be conducted in comparing the data with previous research in order to find the best practical lamination CFRP repair scheme. Further analysis will be conducted to compare the original or controlled specimens with the repaired specimens.
