Dr. Amer Al-Qaaod is an experienced nuclear physicist with a specialization in radiation protection and reactor physics. With a Ph.D. from Ain Shams University, Cairo, he has built a strong reputation in the fields of dosimetry, radiological safety, and radioactive waste management. His expertise is reflected in his roles at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Braunschweig, Germany, and as a PhD consultant at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna, Austria.Dr. Al-Qaaod's experience encompasses various projects that focus on the optimization of neutron science facilities and the development of hybrid reactors. He has conducted experimental and numerical evaluations of backscattered radiation in calibration facilities and played a role in investigating the impact of new radiation protection quantities definitions on dosimetric measurements in neutron reference fields.
