I am interested in a civil/environmental engineering position in Oregon or Washington. I will pursue professional licensure as an engineer once my experience, training and expertise are in line.I have worked in three different engineering positions: an environmental and geotechnical engineering consulting firm on design, construction, implementation and remediation, a stormwater and sanitary sewer service district on permitting and project review, and in industry working with the industrial effluent treatment system for surface water and groundwater protection. I worked in research with water flow modeling while pursuing my advance degree.I am keen to use the skills I have learned so far and continue to grow my understanding of the profession. I purposefully built my resume to gain experience in the different areas of engineering and implementation - private, public, industry. I enjoy working for the project timeline and goal. My favorite project work, so far, has involved opportunities to get into the field, record data, and implement design details based on the analyzed information. I enjoyed the ownership I was able to have in these projects.I tend to be a “big picture" person, enjoy tinkering with small engineering details, and getting my boots muddy in the field to collect the data that help us better understand and model the system as a whole. I can be happy jockeying a desk with database analysis and happier still when out in the field. My employment experience shows I am skilled at communicating effectively with others, working and managing groups of employees, and working within the constraints of project deadlines and time tables. I am self-motivated, organized, and manage my time efficiently. I enjoy both the opportunity to work alone and structure my day as needed to suit the required tasks and I enjoy working with others to be supportive of their goals and to promote the group's success.Specialties: Engineer In Training (OR), HAZWOPER, CPR
